Public Policy Program
It promotes Public Policy to guarantee women and LGBTTIQ+ human rights. Matria maintains an active voice in the public discussions pertaining to equity, security, and other issues that impact human development. We know that we have to transform the social and economic structures that sustain inequality and this program is part of our institutional efforts in that direction.
(1) Analyze public policies and bills from a gender perspective;
(2) Coordinate citizen participation in legislative processes by disseminating information and educational material on the state of human rights of women, LGBTTIQ+ people, and people living in unequal circumstances;
(3) Link organizations and entities committed to human rights to share information and facilitate the coordination of citizen actions;
(4) Foster public discussions on gender, equity and human rights issues.
